Is Feng Shui a Religion?

Many people believe that Feng Shui isn’t a religion, but in reality it isn’t. It isn’t about getting in line five on your calendar every time you walk into your kitchen.

Classical Feng Shui wasn’t devised by ancient peoples to help them harmonise with the universe.

Instead, it was developed to help them live harmoniously with one another. It focuses on the use of the environment, or your surroundings, to create a sense of balance and harmony so that your everyday life can be as comfortable and effective as possible.

Feng shui is not a religion

If you were to really look at life through Feng Shui principles, then you would see that you have an uphill battle on every day.

It’s all about staying balanced and on track.

  • If you allow your Feng Shui to flow by itself, without any structure or leadership, then life can be quite stressful.
  • When you create some sort of discipline, or structure for yourself in Feng Shui, you are directing the energies of your life so that you are able to live it properly.
  • You don’t have to follow the religious path to learn the basics of Feng Shui, but it certainly can be helpful.

The point I am trying to make here is that Feng Shui isn’t a religion, but it should be seen as a natural way of living.

By using the five elements of wood, water, fire, metal and wood, you are directing the forces of nature to affect your life, rather than having to try to control them.

Classical Feng Shui can be used to improve every aspect of your life, both in the physical sense and the spiritual.

How Feng Shui Maintains the Health of Our Environment

According to some people, Feng Shui is nothing but an art form that are concerned with the balance between yin and yang.

They say that balance is important for environmental changes.

There are many benefits associated with this particular kind of environmental management.

People who believe in this maintain that if the yin and yang are not balanced properly, it can lead to negative changes within the environment. Therefore, they use techniques that will help in preserving the balance.

Feng shui maintains the health of our environment

Some environmentalists are now trying to make people aware of how important it is to maintain the harmony and balance in the environment.

These environmentalists believe that if the environmental management techniques are followed strictly, we can prevent environmental changes.

According to them, environmental changes can be good for us as long as we do not make sudden changes that can have a drastic effect on the environment.

There are many environmental management companies that are involved in providing Feng Shui consulting services.

These companies will first assess the area in which the building or home is located.

After the assessment is complete, they will recommend to you the best way to maintain environmental harmony using Feng Shui techniques. If you hire their services, they will provide consulting services which will ensure that you get the results you desire.

How to Use Feng Shui to Improve Your Life

According to Chinese philosophy, if you live in an environment that is full of abundance, you will be healthy and happy.

However, if you dwell in an environment that is full of scarcity, you will suffer both mentally and physically.

Feng Shui also says that a building or room has to be occupied by at least two active elements – a person and a power source.

In order for this theory to work, the environment must not only provide adequate light, air and insulation but also the correct amount of heat, coolness and pressure.

A perfect balance of these five elements is needed in order for the occupants to enjoy their home.

If the environment does not have enough of any of these elements, the occupants will not feel comfortable and will eventually get the urge to leave.

Feng shui is all about the relationship between the environment and living beings

In addition, it is said that an arrangement of furniture or objects in the environment, such as a desk, mirror, bookcase, lamp and chair, will be most beneficial when placed in the south-east direction.

This relationship is known as the yin-yang symbol and it is one of the fundamental principles of Feng Shui.

In addition, it also says that objects in the west portion of the room should be placed in the north-west direction so that they can benefit from the sun’s rays.

Another important aspect is to make sure that any materials or decoration that you place in the east portion of the room are properly placed so that they will not be negatively affected by the heat or cold of the south-west.

Feng Shui is more than just arranging your office to make it more conducive to productivity and success. It is about balancing all aspects of your life and providing the optimum environment for happiness and fulfillment.

Although there are no specific rules that will tell you what your environment should look like, it would be best to go with what makes you feel comfortable, whether that is traditional eastern or western.

With a little creativity, imagination and a little bit of Feng Shui, your office can become a place where you can relax, be happy and finally achieve success in your business ventures.
